The State’s Attorney of Lake County, Illinois, Eric Rinehart, played “Pin the Tail on The Black Guy”, and got caught, again.
In cahoots with the police department of Gurnee, Illinois, Rinehart went to a judge and got a felony arrest warrant for a Wisconsin man that the Lake and McHenry Scanner won’t name, and had him dragged across state lines on half a dozen felonies related to a recent shooting, by US Marshals.
They could have killed him, as any situation with the police is a very dangerous encounter in America.
The police recruit violent psychopaths and terrorists. (It isn’t as-if such organizations are likely to maintain meticulous lists, but we know of hundreds who are Proud Boys and Oath Keepers members from leaks.)
When they’re not busy having their Insurrections and cross burnings, the police are really into finding people to frame, because it’s easier than doing their jobs, especially when there’s a lot of pressure to close cases.
This is the second major incident in Lake County in the past couple of years where they were caught.
The police don’t hate ruining the lives of innocent people. They don’t hate framing people. They hate being _caught_ doing it.
Anyway, the man’s “story checked out”, so without even a “Sorry, bub.” they cut him loose, and nobody would have even reported on it at all except that the Scanner is better about reporting local news than those multinational fucks like Nextstar Digital that only pretend to be local and run WGN.
The last time it happened, the Waukegan Police Department tried to frame a Black 15 year old at the local High School and offered him a cheeseburger from McDonalds if he’d confess to Attempted Murder and various felony gun charges, without being offered a lawyer or having his family notified of the arrest.
They were really hot to get him, but they had to let him go because it turned out he was at an away basketball game with hundreds of witnesses, and on video, the night of the crime.
If this is what we know about, there’s a lot more.
The cops are good at getting false confessions and covering their tracks, and “Progressive Democrats” like Rinehart talk like they give a shit about Black people, but to be honest, they really don’t.
In the US courts, the only thing the judge hears about you is what the police and prosecutor bring them, and it’s stacked to where the judge, who is supposedly neutral, is basically a willing accomplice where he pretends that no cop or prosecutor has ever done shitty work or lied before, and if you’re not very careful, they can get you even if they’ve fabricated the whole damn thing.
This is why almost every case in US courts ends in a plea bargain and why so many Americans are convicted of something.
The alternative is going to court and having a bunch of Proud Boys and Oath Keepers with badges testifying against you, and a Prosecutor whose only goal is winning the next election backing them up.
Then to keep the support of the public, they feed them a constant diet of propaganda, and any time a cop does get killed you NEVER stop hearing about it.
They basically have a big state funeral for them and it’s all over the news and TV and they use “the plural of anecdote is data” to make it seem like a handful of cops being killed makes it a dangerous profession, when most jobs are more dangerous than being a police officer.
Being a police officer isn’t even in the Top Ten Most Dangerous Jobs in America.
Your auto mechanic has a more dangerous job than the police.
Police officer training does everything possible to instill an attitude of fear, danger and “Us against Them” into recruits where “us” means other cops and “them” means everyone who is not a cop.
After being repeatedly warned that their lives are always in danger, they’re trained that in order to protect themselves from this immanent, ever-present threat they must
- (1) shoot first if they feel threatened;
- (2) shoot to kill, and
- (3) don’t stop shooting until the “target” is on the ground and not moving.
Is it any wonder that 1,004 people were killed by police officers in the United States in 2019?
-Medium
When you compare that to the number of cops killed in the entire country for 2019, it was 104. They kill 10 members of the American public for every cop that dies on duty, of all causes.
Out of those 104, 23 of them crashed their vehicle, unrelated to any crime that was happening, and died, and 1 had an unspecified accident, leaving only 81 cops in the entire country that died as a result of violent criminals.
That’s barely 1.5 police officers per state in America per year.
That’s a pretty safe job!
