US Government: Almost Nobody Wants the New COVID Shots and Obamacare Makes Getting One a Disaster if You Do.

US Government: Almost Nobody Wants the New COVID Shots and Obamacare Makes Getting One a Disaster if You Do.

According to Ars Technica, the US government says that only 7% of adults and 2% of children even got this updated “booster”.

Those figures were current as of a few days ago.

They say it’s “abysmal” and that if we even get to the “disappointing” figure of 17% from last year, they’ll be “amazed”, and that everything from scheduling to trying to pay for it is a disaster, if you even want one, thanks to this Obamacare nonsense.

I mean, you don’t have to have any conspiracy theories. This is them saying that.

Nobody wants it and Obamacare is a goddamned disaster even if you do.

They don’t say why nobody wants it, but the fourth shot put my spouse in bed from that Sunday to that Wednesday night and forced him to call into work and use sick time.

Then he gave COVID to me 6 weeks later when he got it.

Seven weeks after my fourth shot, I started showing symptoms, tested positive, started taking Molnupiravir, and as soon as I started coming back up from the COVID, my entire mouth turned white and blue and started aching so bad for the next month that I was popping pain medicine and Valtrex every 8 hours because it unleashed the Shingles on me.

It was constant pain and suffering for an entire month.

I mean, if the shots work and side effects are minor…. Let’s just say that this is true for the moment, purely for the sake of argument…. Then why isn’t anyone really trying to get this one?

Most people got COVID 2-3 times whether they got “vaccinated” for it or not.

Almost everyone I know that didn’t take any shots barely noticed it and it was basically over in a week.

There’s obviously not only just no/little vaccine durability, but it didn’t even work well during the time where it said I was at “peak protection”, and my spouse slept and couldn’t even eat anything for days after his fourth shot.

Pfizer’s laying people off and complaining about “sales” after it made the shots $200 each, $200, after it had been charging the US government $16.

But Pfizer is also working on a “combo flu and COVID shot”.

The US government recently admitted that getting both at the same time raises your risk of a stroke significantly vs. waiting two weeks between shots, but the advice continues to be to get both during the same visit.

Hmm…

It is the second study to find an elevated risk of stroke for seniors after Covid-19 and flu vaccinations given together. The US Centers for Disease Control and FDA issued a public communication in January explaining that one of their near real-time vaccine safety monitoring studies — called the Vaccine Safety Datalink — had picked up a small and uncertain risk of stroke for older adults who received a dose of Pfizer’s bivalent Covid-19 vaccine and a high-dose or adjuvanted flu shot on the same day. That study triggered the FDA’s broader look at strokes after vaccination noted in the medical records of seniors on Medicare.

That said, the risk identified in the FDA’s study appears to be very small — roughly 3 strokes or transient ischemic attacks for every 100,000 doses given[…]

CNN

That’s nice. So let me get this straight.

They say your risk is less than 1 in a million for a stroke if you just get one or the other, but 1 in 33,333 by getting them both at once is fine?

Fine with them, I guess.

They’re not the ones who’ll be going from 1 in 500,000 (total) by waiting two weeks apart if you’re going to get both shots, to 1 in 33,333 by doing both on one visit.

Assuming their data is accurate.

There is no ethical way to recommend not making two trips to the pharmacy if you actually want both shots, except that they want as many people as possible getting dosed, and the government doesn’t really care about the extra strokes because that’s the problem for people who have a stroke, not the government.

There’s also the issue of personal choice.

The left has never had a really big problem with trying to control other people.

They started out small, like New York City Mayor Michael “Big Gulp” Bloomberg.

They freaked out about how many french fries were on someone else’s plate, or how many ounces of Coca-Cola they were drinking in one sitting.

Now the same group that says you shouldn’t be forced to have something inside of you that you don’t want, and that’s why abortion should be legal without any restrictions at all, are arguing that the ~90% that don’t want COVID shots should be forced to take them by the 10% who may eventually get this one.

That’s really all this is about. COVID shots didn’t stop COVID when 80%+ were complying, and now that 7% have complied, it’s out there spreading at about the same rate.

Medicine is normally a trade-off between acceptable risk and actual, measurable benefits, and the government can’t just release data and show that the risk of COVID shots are acceptable or that the benefits are high, so it tells you that it needs 76 years to release safety data, and just trust marketing statements from the companies that make $200 a shot now.

We clearly never hit 95% efficacy or anything close to it during the height of compliance, and that’s all we’re left with now.

7% think that they’re right and everyone else is wrong, and you’re down to a 7% who are so stupid that they’ll believe anything the government tells them and wonder why 99.9% of the world isn’t wearing masks and 93% isn’t “vaccinated”.

Jamie Zawinski is really nasty about anyone who says anything other than towing the party line (they get blocked after he sends them a “Fuck it, Die then!” JPEG….well, at least it wasn’t a WebP I suppose…), and many others in the California land of nuts, fruits, and flakes, sound like a team of Pfizer salesmen, and really it’s none of their business how many french fries I eat or what I put in my body, and so people like this can go jump in the lake.

If you were harmed or got COVID and it was nasty anyway after the vaccines, why take more?

What will 5, 6, 7, and 8 do better than 1, 2, 3, and 4?

I think a lot of people that got hurt by the COVID shots (brain fog, sleeping for half a week, puking, heart problems) and then got COVID 3 times anyway, just realized what I eventually did about COVID shots.

(Thankfully we just got it the one time.)

Don’t take any more and pray whatever the last ones did isn’t permanent.

We both took our flu shots this year, like we always do.

All of the “news” (which, as Roy said, was basically dead by 2020 so what’s left is easy to control now) talks about are “tripledemics”.

They try to conflate flu, RSV, and COVID when they’re all very different, and the flu shot has been around for about 80 years and it’s known to work, to an extent, and to not be all that dangerous.

The reason they try to conflate is to sell failed experiments that nobody will stop.

My mom’s doctor asked her about the “RSV vaccine”, and she said, “No way! Nobody’s experimenting on me because I’m old and they think my life doesn’t matter.”

And the thing is, she wasn’t wrong about that.

Not only does the government not like people in their 60s, if they die it means there’s less Social Security and Medicare payments.

I’m not going anywhere near these “RSV shots”.

The FDA is so corrupt they’ll approve anything and never look at it again, and the media is so corrupt it lets corporations buy articles, and if you ever do get paid for an injury, the liability is on the government for anything they can call a “vaccine”.

All of this is not to say I’m an anti-vaxxer. We need hard data and years-long safety trials. They don’t do that anymore. They cook something new up in about a week and then the marketing team takes over. They don’t even know what it does. Roll up your sleeve and find out.

They didn’t develop (highly effective and safe) Hepatitis vaccines by winging it, lying to everyone, and having a marketing department make outrageous efficacy figures nobody questioned. These COVID and RSV shots are something else.

How dare anyone, how dare them, try to call me a “COVID denier” after how sick I got with it (after four shots!), or an anti-vaxxer! (After four shots!)

I think that vaccines developed under the previous regime of actual testing and an FDA and media that wouldn’t approve anything and run paid shit and government propaganda for “stories” really need to be taken.

We’re dealing with a Hepatitis outbreak right now in the Midwest, and it’s partially because many people will ever trust legitimate vaccines again after this spectacle.

Remember when the propaganda was “wear masks and vaccinate” and then everyone got sick anyway after laughing that “anti-vaxxers” and “Republicans” would get sick and die?

Pepperidge Farm Remembers.

Trust me, you’re not the 7% who got the “updated shot” (aren’t we on the 6th now?) and not the 93% that haven’t because you’re the smartest people ever.

You think highly of yourself, I’m sure. Most people do after inhaling their own farts that long.

The other problem with this setup is that if the left hadn’t fucked up our healthcare system so much worse than it was in 2009 with Obamacare, maybe people could get the “COVID vaccine” covered.

Theoretically, insurance pays for COVID shots, but people are going up to the pharmacy counter and being told they owe $200 and just leave without getting the shot because it’s that or food.

Before the Democrats started fucking with the shit in the Obamacare-era, people didn’t have $10,000 deductible insurance, they were usually $1,000 or less, and doctor visits cost $50, not $400.

A third problem is that even if the FDA wasn’t corrupt, their budget isn’t big enough to handle what all they’ve been tasked with, and it is a lot.

You can drive half a mile from the FDA’s headquarters, and buy unlicensed viagra at a convenience store. Hell, they sell them at the Murphy Gas station out the Walmart.

What the Hell do you think is in those boner pills they sell at the counter? People have purchased those and had a lab analyze it you know.

Then there’s bath salts, Delta-8-THC, and all other kinds of garbage. Where’s the government? Nyaaah? Nyaah.

TIL: The FDA Tried to Prevent Having to Turn Over Safety Data it Already Had for COVID Shots for 76 Years. Pfizer Layoffs.

Last year, the FDA was ordered to turn over safety data it had on COVID shots after being sued under the Freedom of Information Act.

The hair in the soup?

It argued in court that it needed 76 years to turn over data that it possessed last year.

Siri, a 2004 University of California Berkeley School of Law grad who got his start at Latham & Watkins, is no stranger to FOIA fights. Last year, he sued the Food and Drug Administration to make public the data it relied on to license Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine. The agency unsuccessfully argued that it needed up to 76 years to review and release all the information.

-Reuters

The FDA fights everyone because it wants to sit on data that it knows would be damaging, if it got outside the agency.

And this is very basic information. Right? What made you decide that these “vaccines” were effective and safe?

So if there’s no scandal, why do they want to make us wait 76 years?

Usually, when the government commits horrific crimes, it sits around and waits until all the victims are long dead and nobody cares anymore, then admits it quietly in some document dump nobody even reads.

Tens of thousands of claims of injuries and the government has paid “three or four people”.

I wonder how long they’ll be able to hold back the dam before this turns into another Asbestos or Camp LeJeune.

As usual, the government that ran the Syphilis experiments up to 1974, told me in health class that all gay men got AIDS eventually, said the air quality on 9/11 was perfectly fine and Saddam had Anthrax, and ran a torture program, would never ever lie and everyone else is the disinformation.

[…]

I was born about 39 years after the end of World War 2.

I’m almost 40 years old now.

This is the total amount of time that the FDA argued in court, unsuccessfully, that they needed in order to tell you how safe or unsafe the COVID shots were based on data they already had last year.

I am glad that the courts haven’t started entertaining the government, like the people in charge of the Web, burying us in propaganda.

[…]

Jamie Zawinski was about as nice as the typical leftist.

When I told him how “effective” the first four shots were, at making my spouse lose several days at work that counted against him, then he got COVID, then gave it to me and I almost died anyway, and that I didn’t know what 5, 6, 7, and 8 would do better than 1, 2, 3, and 4, he responded with the very sympathetic “fuck it, die then” meme and blocked me.

These are anything but rational people.

A normal person says I’m sorry to hear that.

-Me, on Mastodon

I doubt we’ll ever know the full extent of how badly the government liars bullshitted us on this.

I threw in a random sampling of the American government’s long history of being unethical, lying, and committing crimes to make my point. In every criminal trial, a prosecutor is allowed to go after the character of the defendant by bringing up other bad things that defendant has done in the past. If we go into the US government, it’s hundreds of examples. We don’t have time for all of it.

The government has never shown a propensity to care about the rights of its citizens, or to tell the truth, and you want us to believe them over this? Show your work.

The fact that they have to hide things, very basic, which they have shown the public immediately on other vaccines, like “What led you to believe they were safe and effective?”, and all those other times they said, “Here’s the data. We hope it explains our thinking on this!”, and now they go “We need to hide it until you and the next 3 generations are dead before we admit what we did.”, says a lot, doesn’t it?

I think it says a lot.

Our experience with the shots wasn’t very good and it led me to conclude that the risk from the shots just isn’t worth it. I don’t think we saw any benefit. If anything, I got my ass kicked by COVID even after I did everything the Democrats said to do about it, and my spouse lost twice as much time from work, and the part the COVID shot caused wasn’t even excused. He had to dip into sick hours.

Where is the data? Show me the actual data. I want to see data, not press releases.

The CDC — which should be the gold standard for accurate information — still hasn’t made the v-safe information publicly available itself, although it seems to have fulfilled a FOIA obligation by giving it to ICAN.

-Reuters

So the CDC refuses to comment and explain itself, and so it lets itself get sued, turns over the raw data to actual anti-vaxxers, which are opposed even to legitimate vaccines, such as Hepatitis, Measles, and flu, and lets the anti-vaxxers show it to everyone along with their narrative?

Is this not, at the very least, incompetent? Shouldn’t the CDC get out in front of this and admit the COVID shots “are the best we could do” or try to put some sort of remotely positive spin on them?

So “ICAN”, the anti-vaxxer group, provided the CDC’s data in a dashboard, according to Reuters.

According to ICAN, 7.7% of the v-safe users — 782,913 people — reported seeking medical attention via a telehealth appointment, urgent care clinic, emergency room intervention or hospitalization following a COVID-19 vaccine.

-Reuters

782,913 people sought medical attention after getting a COVID shot.

Isn’t overwhelming the hospitals and doctor’s offices what we were trying to avoid with the shots?

This is just of the people who participated in V-SAFE. Nobody had to participate in V-SAFE. Probably more than half didn’t.

So people got the shots and then well over a million people storm the healthcare system, because of the shots?

This week, Pfizer announced layoffs due to pathetic “COVID vaccine” sales. It’s all about selling products these days.

Who even cares if they work? Calling it a vaccine is even better because if they hurt people, they have to talk to the government injury program about it, which will let them eat static.

To make up for the lower-than-expected sales of its COVID-19 vaccine and treatment this year, Pfizer announced it will cut $3.5 billion-worth of jobs and expenses to gain savings through 2024, though it did not provide details on exactly how many people it will let go.

[…]

But the company did say that it expects to pay a one-time charge of $3 billion linked to its saving plan for 2023 and 2024, most of which would come from severance payments spurred by the job cuts.

-Newsweek

Also worth noting, that the media has switched from calling the Biden-era mass layoffs a “savings plan”, rather than layoffs.

Are we losing track of the Newspeak yet?

One of the Prescription Drugs the Pharmacies Can’t Get is the “COVID Shot”. I’m Just Going to Keep Taking Vitamin D.

One of the Prescription Drugs the Pharmacies Can’t Get is the “COVID Shot”. I’m Just Going to Keep Taking Vitamin D.

(Yes, vaccines are a prescription drug. If you look, there is a prescriber on the form and it’s a doctor you’ve never actually seen down in Chicago or something.)

The COVID shots either don’t work, or hardly work. Again, my spouse and I both took 4, including the bivalent.

All the bivalent did to him was make him so sick he couldn’t work and had to call in for like four days and burn up his sick time for the stupid “vaccine”, and then six weeks after that, he got COVID and gave it to me.

For at least a couple of years now, we’ve known that the bulk of the COVID deaths and ICU admissions are people who also had low Vitamin D levels.

Did it prevent COVID? Well, no, but neither does the shot. I think keeping people out of the ICU or the morgue is worth taking a pill that costs 3.1 cents per day.

Vitamin D3 5,000 IU at Walmart is $12 for 400 pills.

Pfizer can’t patent it, so your doctor would never recommend it.

Also, the “sufficiency” level, according to the labs, is too low. Below 30 ng/ml is higher risk of osteoporosis and various cancers, sure, but the more we find out about Vitamin D levels, the more we realize that even double that level is not unsafe and is potentially beneficial. The Endocrine Society recommends between 40-60 ng/ml.

But in 2011, the respected Endocrine Society issued a report urging a much, much higher minimum blood level of vitamin D. At that time, their experts concluded: “Based on all the evidence, at a minimum, we recommend vitamin D levels of 30 ng/mL, and because of the vagaries of some of the assays, to guarantee sufficiency, we recommend between 40 and 60 ng/mL for both children and adults.”

Vitamin D: What’s the “right” level? (Harvard Health Blog)

Interestingly, the same article says 6% of Americans have a level lower than 12.5 ng/ml!

I’ve been taking 5,000 IU per day for a few years. Finally, my doctor noticed and asked me if I wanted my levels checked and I said “Sure.” and the level was 61 ng/ml.

I was buying them at that level for my spouse anyway as an over-the-counter supplement. His doctor would keep prescribing it and when his levels were “okay”, cutting it, and letting it drop too low again, so I finally said that was enough of that and we’ve both been on 5,000 IU a day as the Spring Valley brand at Walmart, which obviously works fine.

As a prescription, it’s more expensive. His health insurance won’t pay for it. It’s exactly the same thing, but as a prescription drug filled by a pharmacy you have to pay a lot more, so like…. Why?

Anyway, you’ll never hear from the doctor that most of the people dropping dead of COVID have low vitamin D and maybe you should just look into a D3 supplement.

Pfizer charges $180 apiece for shots that make you sick and burn through all your sick days, then you get COVID.

Nobody can patent Vitamin D3. Also, nobody can stop you from buying the stuff.

Also, nobody can stop you from monitoring your own levels if you want to pay for the test and skip the doctor. Most labs will do them as walk-ins for $50.

I’m just going to keep doing this and make sure it doesn’t go so high that we’re maybe talking toxicity, but I’ve heard from doctors that 4,000-5,000 IU was the highest safe level for most people who aren’t getting their labs drawn.

Fauci mentioned a 1,000 IU supplement which isn’t going to have much of an affect on blood levels.

The government is very dismissive of COVID mitigations that nobody can price gouge on, and as long as you watch your Vitamin D levels and make sure they don’t go through the roof, it’s not going to make people sick like all these damned shots are, both in the short term, and in the long run (eye and heart problems especially, with the shots).

Whenever someone asks if I want a COVID shot now I just laugh and say no, but they can have mine if they want to totally gamble with what happens to their health next.

I’ve known a lot of people now who started getting all these bizarre health problems that they can’t account for, in their 20s-40s, stuff that is VERY odd for a person that age to get regardless of how they’ve taken care of themselves, and the only common thread I’ve seen is they’re rushing to take these shots.

Sometimes it doesn’t even take 3-4 to do it.

There basically is no safety or efficacy standard anymore other than doping some lab mice and calling it a day with a press release claiming 95% efficacy, and then all the people who got vaccinated get COVID too.

It’s absolutely not a coincidence that with all these side effects and then getting COVID as well that few people even want one.

It’s hilarious that only like 15% of the US population even wants another one and the guy at Jewel told me they still can’t keep them in or get more.

What’s going on where they’re getting “allocations of 150 and told not to ask when there’s going to be more”?

These things cost pennies to make and sell for $180 each now. The price went up 12x when it switched from “government pays”. It’s a license to print money, for anyone who will take another shot.

I overheard the pharmacist at Walgreens telling a man they don’t even give you a CDC card for COVID shots anymore.

Why bother? All of the government’s threats for not taking them fell apart in court.

Prescription Drug Shortages in the United States.

I went to three different pharmacies today trying to find some prescription eardrops.

They’re on the WHO’s list of essential medicines.

Nobody had them except one pharmacy in a county of a million people.

What is wrong with America lately, where a $20 bottle of eardrops from 2020 is now $212 in 2023 (Cash price. Luckily, we have good insurance.) *and* you can’t find them?

At the same time, they had updated COVID shots, which are near-placebos that hurt some people quite badly. But even then the pharmacist told me each Jewel-Osco only got 150 and that was 3 days ago and they have like 3 doses left and have not been told when to expect more.

It seems people are still swallowing the hook on that crock of shit, at least, some people.

Each time they tell people to get another shot, less do. At this rate, we’re probably at 15% of the country that even wants another one now.

If these shots actually did anything to mitigate COVID or had less horrific side effects, or if the government was even honest about what to expect instead of saying it’s all in your head (including articles about the “nocebo effect” and telling your doctor to lie to your face), then maybe more people would want one.

Normal vaccines, like the flu shot, don’t need to coerce people to take them. People know they work, serious side effects are really 1 in a million, if that, and they’ve been around for almost 80 years. Before COVID “vaccines” made people skeptical of real ones, you had 50-60% taking their flu shot every year. But even that’s probably down at this point.

At some point, they may pull an “insulin” and take all the cheap ones off the market and replace them with patents, I mean mRNA flu shots. In the testing, the mRNA flu shots didn’t protect better than the ones we take now, but they did result in COVID shot-like side effects. They got really rough and for no added protection against the flu.

But this will be patent evergreening. They’ll conspire to take the safe flu shots off the market, the ones that cost $26 cash, and replace them with ones that are like the $180 COVID shots.

If flu shots go mRNA, I won’t take the flu shot anymore. We took our flu shots this year, as always. NO COVID shot.

Just stick a bunch of mice with them and roll it out. Let people find out when they’re having heart and eye problems and they’re only 30.

Another thing I noticed is they had dozens of “narcan” nasal spray doses.

I’m sorry, but when you can’t even stock your pharmacy with basic antibiotics, why is the shelf full of stuff for an addict who is overdosing?

I don’t want to sound excessively mean here, but addicts are almost impossible to reform and are almost never NOT a problem to society somehow.

The display said to “add narcan to complete your first aid kit”.

Oh right, you know most accidents happen at home.

Stub your toe, cut your finger, burn your hand…….accidentally inject too much heroin….

Sure.

COVID and Vaccine Jingoism. The Politics of a Plague.

COVID and Vaccine Jingoism. The Politics of a Plague.

There was a strange phenomenon during COVID, well, a lot of them.

It wasn’t just every two-bit politician in America acting like a dictator with unlimited authority, sweeping the feckless courts and legislatures aside, ruling by “public health decree”. Forcing everyone into ineffective Hygiene Theater, including “sanitizing surfaces” and “masks”, whose sole purpose was psychological. (So the economy wouldn’t collapse.)

Oh no, there was a lot of noise in the “media”, like NPR, BBC, and NYTimes, regarding “Chinese” and “Russian” vaccines, and “What’s even in them? Who knows? They probably have lousy quality control because, again, Russia and China.”

In the mean time, as we in the Northern Hemisphere go into the Cold, Flu, and COVID season yet again, I’ve decided not to take any more of the “COVID shots”.

I’ve stopped calling them vaccines. I took four of them.

The fourth being the “bivalent booster”. So did my spouse.

Just 6 weeks after the bivalent booster (all doses were Pfizer), we both got COVID at the same time.

COVID actually made my spouse less sick than the COVID shot. The COVID shot made it impossible for him to get out of bed for nearly 4 days.

He ended up calling into work, losing most of his sick time, and then when he did get COVID, having to take unpaid Family and Medical Leave Act time off, which they only give you when you have COVID, not “COVID shot side effects”. Which they gaslight the public and claim don’t even exist.

I wasn’t even as lucky as him. I ended up very sick with COVID, and then developing chest pains that dragged on clear into this summer and didn’t stop for for EIGHT months.

We both took the “COVID antiviral pills”, he got the Pfizer ones, I couldn’t take them and had to take Molnupiravir. Just as soon as I was starting to come around, 4 days later, the COVID weakened my immune system to the point where I had a Shingles outbreak, and spent another few weeks taking pills to stamp that out, as well as painkillers three times a day (the maximum safe dose!).

I’ve decided this year, we’ll skip the shots, because they clearly do nothing and they can make you sicker than the damn bug.

I don’t feel like a repeat of last year where my spouse risks getting in trouble with his job, over a defective COVID shot, for absolutely no benefit.

So we will be taking the flu shot on Monday and calling it.

We are not anti-vaxxers. We have taken all of the CDC recommended vaccines. Most of them were put through a legitimate Scientific Process.

The clear and only point of Pfizer and Moderna’s COVID shots is to make money for Pfizer and Moderna, while the government sweeps all of the information under the rug about how badly they can hurt you.

This year, the Biden administration, allowed both companies to increase the price of each dose from $16, which the government paid and led to record profits for both companies, to $180 per dose, which is going to make insurance companies raise premiums again, to pay for shots that are dangerous and don’t even work.

Naturally, to grease the wheels on Phase II of the Great Heist, Moderna has said they’ll cover the shots for the uninsured, for now.

Given that these things very clearly don’t work, given the media gaslighting, which I’ll admit even got me until I had to experience the fact that they don’t work myself, and just the level of dishonesty and corruption about the entire thing (including anti-Russian and anti-Chinese propaganda that didn’t even leave the COVID shots out of it), I can’t justify accepting more.

It was the Democrats, as usual, who had such a horrible program, that they had to bribe and threaten people. Through their employers, naturally.

Take it, you get fifty bucks, don’t take it and potentially get fired.

Biden tried his best to make everyone who refused the heart damage and other oddities unemployed, during a recession, with hyperinflation.

This America is a dystopian Hell, and despite the rare media mention of COVID anymore (because they took their “emergency powers” and never gave them back, thank you very much), and now they want you out there shopping, rumbling of the Lockdown Fetishists are starting to make the news again.

This whole thing was an exercise in raw power.

After they eased up a little and like half of the jobs lost to the Lockdown came back, the corrupt New York Times spun up the KrugmanBot3000 to proclaim the Dead Cat Bounce as the Economic Miracle of Biden.

A “recovery” that brings back half the jobs, and puts the government in twice as much debt is a Miracle.

Hallelujah. Praise Be! I saw the light, I saw the light, no more darkness no more night! Then Jesus Biden came like a stranger in the night. Praise the Lord Joe Biden, I saw the light!

Ironically, after encouraging people who know how to knock a fence down and enter a place illegally to come to Chicago, ex-Mayor Lightfoot of Chicago was horrified when they did the same thing to her chain link fences around open air parks.

What public policy sense did it make to lock down open air state and local parks when there’s this germ going around mostly killing people who don’t even go out and walk?

(Of course, in Chicago, that’s defensible since not exercising is more healthy than being shot while exercising, I suppose.)

Also, true to Democrat form, we had to spill reams of digital ink, chiding people for going to church, and not say anything about the vandalism, looting, and the “house parties” where someone shows up with a machine gun, which were spreading COVID, but it wasn’t the people you CAN berate in the media doing it.

Excusing open and outright criminal actions while condemning people for engaging in their Constitutionally-protected right to freedom of religion did not weigh well on me. I think we deserve better than this from our government.

Calling rioting and arson and looting “mostly peaceful” while people are dying, the city is on fire, and businesses are being destroyed is never okay. But the Democrats and their pet media did this.

At the same time, the Civil Alert System was going off telling me not to enter Kenosha, Wisconsin or Downtown Chicago. Mostly peaceful, you know.

I’m planning to take my spouse to some Libertarian Party meetings.

It’s only right that if he’s planning to become an American that we should do this right.

I find it very ironic that the government universities, who basically load people up with so much debt they’ll never see the light of day again, most of them, and at only 18, would brand the faculty as such “Progressives” while actually promoting so much actual wealth inequality. Sure, yeah, finance it all and hand it to them. Whatever.

I don’t respect them. There’s nothing to feel good about when you’re a “university” and you load a bunch of rubes down with $60,000 in debt at 6%+ interest, knowing what you’re doing to them, and then you tell them that they’re a victim of “evil White people”.

Yeah, a lot of those “evil White people” are running the university. Ever stopped to think about it?

Those are the ones saying that the “evil White people” are the ones who are too poor to buy a bag of beans, and aren’t even threatening anybody.

The elitist “Left” is too stupid to realize that by openly mocking and slandering people who are on hard times, portraying Rural Americans as the Great White Satan, that they are making people like Trump and DeSantis more palatable.

They won’t do anything for the poor White rural voters, but they say they have the answer to everything, and point out how toxic and stupid the “Left” is all the time to score points because the last part is….not untrue.

You won’t like their answer to the problems though. Keep pushing, you’ll find out.

You thought Trump was bad the first time? Just wait and see what he does next. And if not him, someone like him.

I finally got COVID-19 despite all of the vaccinations, and it’s pretty damned terrible.

I finally got COVID-19 despite all of the vaccinations, and it’s pretty damned terrible.

When my spouse tested positive for COVID-19 on the 14th of this month (November 2022), I immediately took him to get Paxlovid at the CVS Minute Clinic.

I continued testing myself for the next 14 days and since I felt okay on Friday, I went to see my mom and cousins in Indiana for Thanksgiving dinner over the weekend.

Big mistake.

On Saturday night (actually early AM Sunday) in the hotel room, just hours after dinner, I woke up with all of the COVID symptoms. Mom took me and my spouse back to the train station, and we spent all evening on trains trying to get back home. I was starting to wheeze and gag and cough, but I had an N95 mask on and sealed it properly, and kept my head down and away from everyone else.

A simple carry-on bag felt like lugging around a dead elephant, and my lungs were on fire and filling up with fluid that had a “gritty, sand-like” substance in it.

We got home last night. I had been taking Tylenol every 6 hours on the way back to try to keep moving. I took a COVID test, and it was positive.

Since I had expected it to be, I scheduled an appointment at the local CVS Minute Clinic for this afternoon while I was still in Indiana.

I went to bed, and again, the COVID symptoms came back with a vengeance. Worse than Saturday/Sunday.

Sore joints, burning in the lungs, burning in the nose, sharp stabbing pains all over my body. Headache, extreme chills (so bad that I had to put my dental guard in to avoid tooth damage from chattering, and this while I was under two comforters and a winter sleeping bag splayed out as a blanket, and had a space heater aimed right at me.

Sinus drainage, sneezing fits. Dogs and cats living together. Mass hysteria.

In such pain I was literally screaming, as best I could, before giving up and calling my spouse on the phone, dialing it with my nose, last night, to ask him…one….word….at…a….time to get me Tylenol, water, throat numbing spray, cough drops, and hot tea.

I had 3x monovalent Pfizer vaccine. For me it was 2/26/21, 3/21/21, 8/29/21, and then a bivalent on 10/6/22, and it was similar for my spouse.

Roy Schestowitz recalled that I drove across the state of Illinois and back 4x to get the vaccine sooner. I did everything I was “supposed” to do and still got it, and it’s kicking my ass.

I’m really not a complainer.

I’ve been sick before and just toughed it out, but this is next level shit. I’ve gone through more Tylenol in the last 3 days than I have in the 20 years prior to that. I usually skip it even when I have a headache because I don’t want to take the stuff. I don’t like taking a lot of pills. But now I’m even on experimental pills!

My spouse is now undergoing “Paxlovid rebound”, but the Nurse Practitioner wouldn’t prescribe me Paxlovid, because it interacts with three of my medications.

One of those I can’t stop taking and the interaction is potentially life threatening (came up on the screen in red).

Also, I have high blood pressure and am on medicine for it, and the Paxlovid can raise blood pressure.

So I’m not even angry at the NP for that. Handing me something that could put me in an even worse predicament than just COVID would be reckless and I’m glad she didn’t do it.

Most people, however, don’t even know what pills they are taking, or what they do. Mom’s a nurse, and she’s been one long enough to experience many people where if the doctor says swallow a pill, they swallow it, and if they say list your medicines, they shrug and go “uh nuh”.

So I know everything I’m taking and knew to talk to the NP about interactions. Many people are probably getting Paxlovid prescriptions when it risks damaging their body.

I ended up suggesting Molnupirovir (Lagevrio), which is currently under Emergency Use Authorization, in only the United States, iirc.

It’s not as effective, apparently, but it doesn’t have all of those drug interactions. It’s supposedly designed to screw up the virus by inserting the drug into the RNA, causing the virus to undergo catastrophic replication error.

Merck originally said it was 50% effective at keeping mild to moderate COVID from progressing to “hospital or death”, but later studies show it’s more like 30%. It still beats nothing. I took my first dose right away.

Pfizer brought a bunch of products to market that don’t seem to be leaving the people taking them much better off in the end. Bourla himself, I’ve heard, has had COVID twice?

To top it all off, I’ve never seen this many people in public, no masks on even, hacking and coughing. Usually not even bothering to cover it.

Mom’s starting to come down with symptoms, again. It couldn’t possibly past the incubation phase from when I was near her.

She said it’s probably that supervisor at work who wears her mask under her nose that stopped for 15 minutes to have a pointless conversation with her, and then tested positive.

Then I got another call today where she said COVID is in the building and bowling over everyone. Staff. Residents.

My cousin said it was in the facility she works in like that too.

But Biden said “Pandemic’s over, Jack!” and then got an ice cream cone.

And have you checked out these Black Friday deals?

Do your part for the ECONOMY.

Now, the mainstream media is bullshitting us and saying it’s “still out there” but “it’s very mild” and “deaths and cases are steadily going down”.

That has not been my experience in this matter.

No more masks or COVID tests for nursing home workers soon thanks to Bailout Biden. Bonus: Lots of Democratic Party nonsense lately.

No more masks or COVID tests for nursing home workers soon thanks to “Bailout Biden”.

I was on the phone with my mother in Indiana last night and learned something very troubling.

Mom informed me that very soon, they won’t have to test or wear masks at the nursing home she works at because “Bailout Biden”‘s Administration won’t be buying masks and COVID tests for people who have to work where the 90 and 100 year olds live.

Instead, he gave Intel $20 billion so they could fire all those thousands of people today instead of buying PPE for nurses.

On the vaccine front, whatever Fully Boosted even means anymore in Vaccine Choose Your Own Adventure, your guess is as good as mine I suppose.

So I think we need to give up on trying to suppress every mild case of illness and just try to keep the more extreme outcomes away, and figure out what the minimum number of doses that does this is. The fact that they’re seriously talking about “four boosters per year” is very alarming. So, we need to scrap this idea and go to something that’s actually tenable.

That’s what an ethical person would say to do.

Unfortunately, anti-Free Software troll Matthew J. Garrett had a bad episode last night on IRC to try to disrupt the room, and the topic changed to vaccines for a while to distract from chat about the criminal activities of one Bill Gates.

(Garrett may be working for Microsoft soon if his employer doesn’t go under before that. Their CEO is trying to get Aurora Innovation, Inc. acquired. It’s currently running out of money, losing three-fourths of a billion dollars a year on barely a tenth as much revenue, having never turned a profit.)

There’s no evidence that the vaccines shape the spread of COVID much.

That seems to have happened mainly from damned near everyone getting it at once last winter (look at the graphs) despite being vaxxed and boosted.

The reason we won’t see a surge on a graph again this winter won’t be because COVID’s not spreading, it’s because “Bailout Biden” scuttled the tests, even for nursing home workers, and all the money for the masks too.

It went to the Intel Bailout instead.

By that, I don’t mean literally went to Intel, but that Congress could have chosen to put the $20 billion into COVID supplies instead of a failing chip company making buggy processors for Windows PCs that nobody wants to buy. CHIPS Act was basically like the GM bailout, except I don’t even think Intel will last 10 more years.

The several thousand getting sacked are largely marketing and R&D. They’re keeping the managers to preside over a smaller cubicle farm with less stuff in the pipeline. This is insanity.

Meanwhile, rush hour gridlock is back in Chicago because instead of shutting down the offices with the expensive rent and $5,000 coffee machines, CEOs adopted a “quit working from home, get your shots, and come back, or don’t bother coming back” policy, and now the Democrat Party wants to turn all freeways in Chicago into Toll Roads.

It’s amazing that instead of putting a lid on COVID, saving money, and reducing traffic fatalities, it was decided instead to cause a surge of COVID with lots of expensive offices, by bringing rush hour back in the middle of a global energy crisis.

If “Bailout Biden” really wanted to help the climate and punish the Saudis for colluding with Vladimir Putin on oil production cuts, we’d go back to mandatory work from home and be done with a terrorist state dictating our policies in exchange for some oil.

I don’t really like the term “government corruption”, because when you try to point something out as being an example of government corruption, you make it sound like it’s the exception rather than the rule.

It would be more notable to try to point at any examples of government virtue, if any such examples were to exist.

“Today in a shocking and rare case of government incorruption….”, the news from a parallel universe could say, “Democrat Mayor Lori Lightfoot of Chicago was caught funneling taxpayer funds intended to help police beat up the homeless and burn their belongings into public housing.

When pressed for a comment, Governor J.B. Pritzker of Illinois said ‘I’m shocked. Shocked and dismayed! And I vow, as your Governor who packed that ballot box fair and square, to get to the bottom of this incorruptibility and alarming level of accountability involving taxpayer funds. This is exactly the kind of behavior that my Administration has been working very hard to root out here in the Prairie State.'”

It really does amaze me how obtuse Matthew Garrett can be when he wants to be. He tried to imply I was racist when I said people in Chicago are woke and the only reason Lori Lightfoot is the Mayor is because she’s a black lesbian.

I was saying that the “qualifications” aren’t the best policies, it’s ticking off boxes.

I said I’m gay and I wouldn’t want anyone to vote for me if it was only because I was gay. That’s not important. You have to worry about how they’ll run your city or state and affect your life.

I’ve passed up voting for two gay people (Lori Lightfoot and Pete Buttigieg) because I didn’t feel they were qualified to do what they were running for.

I don’t feel Pete Buttigieg should even be the Transportation Secretary. He had his “let them eat brioche” moment the other day when he said you’ll never worry about gas prices if you buy an electric car.

So many things wrong with that, like the fact that those cars are an unreliable burden with sky high maintenance costs and that California’s electric grid is on the verge of collapse and they already can’t beg, borrow, or steal enough of someone else’s electricity to run what they have now.

I say this because these crooked assholes actually had the nerve to bomb my email box this morning begging me to go vote for their candidates. Saying that “internal polling” shows they may actually lose the Illinois Supreme Court.

I already voted, for the Republican, Mark C. Curran.

If the Democrats keep up what they’re doing, the 40% surge in violent crime since Pritzker was elected in 2018 will look like a walk in the park.

I support knocking over the FOID Act and letting the people lock and load and shoot back if the police aren’t going to do anything.

Imagine how pissed I was when I found out that John Idleberg, Sheriff of Lake County, Illinois, supports the bill the state House has passed that would turn up to 3 grams of fentanyl, crack, or heroin into a Class A Misdemeanor.

(Three grams of fentanyl is enough to kill 1,500 people of a drug overdose. We do not need this bill in the middle of a drug crisis! This would benefit dealers, not people who are using.)

So I voted Republican for Sheriff too.

Illinois is giving up on having a justice system under the Democrats, and our state economy is almost unbelievably bad even by the abysmal standards of what’s left of this country.

Pritzker is bragging that we took out more loans to pay off loans from the Federal Reserve, that we in turn took out to cover his COVID spending, which honestly mostly had nothing to do with COVID anyway.

He’s spent the last two years with dictatorial powers and it’s time for that to stop. I doubt he gets voted out, but I voted to try to box him in. You do what you can.

Healthcare companies are licking their chops about the “commercialization” of COVID vaccines and therapeutics.

Healthcare companies are licking their chops about the “commercialization” of COVID vaccines and therapeutics.

Right now, the US federal government pays about $16.50 per dose of COVID-19 vaccine under the Warp Speed deal with Moderna, according to CEO Stéphane Bancel.

However, he was “optimistic” that they’d get $60 per dose out of Medicare.

Medicare only tends to pay about 60-70% of what private insurance does, so that means your insurance will end up “negotiating” to get to $80 or more per dose.

The companies are really jonesing to fleece the American public.

They were not happy that the “vaccine passports” and mandates went away, because their thinking obviously was that they could come back every year and lock us all in our houses until we paid for the annual booster and some app on our phone turned green again.

The situation as it stands now is that the monoclonal antibody therapies have already gone that way. No more clinics where you can go get them free of charge, and the vaccines will be this way next year.

Since the monoclonal antibodies have to be administered in a clinic, not at a pharmacy, you know what that’s going to cost. Get ready to start seeing $60,000 bills again if you pass up the vaccine and have to go to the Emergency Room for the antibodies.

We took the bivalent booster.

According to CNN, the government may not even pay for the vaccine soon because it’s running out of money appropriated by Congress, and the Biden administration is prioritizing what it needs to fund.

The Pfizer one. Nobody charged us for it. I suppose that’ll be a similar experience if there’s another one next year because it will seem like my insurance pays for it, and then premiums go up again, because insurance hides the cost of everything.

I was on the fence about the bivalent booster.

But a few things are becoming clear.

One of those things is that the government in the US is pulling up the stakes and leaving everyone to fend for themselves if they do get severe COVID, so the other option is to get vaccinated if I want to be sure no $60,000 ER bills are coming my way over this.

I think that’s part of the point.

I haven’t heard what they’re planning to do about Paxlovid and Molnupirovir yet (what mom took after she got COVID). Those have been “free” up to now (government), but that’ll probably change soon too.

The government wants the economy open and it wants it open now.

For this reason, and the fact that President Biden and Governor Pritzker (of Illinois) along with others want re-elected, they have every reason to be sirens luring people to crash into the rocks with talk of the pandemic being “over”.

Richard Stallman noticed part of this and condemned Biden, whose evidence was that people had stopped acknowledging it.

We had a discussion in Techrights IRC the other day. The troll, Matthew Garrett, was in there acting as if the vaccines are perfect (hardly), and Roy and I were dismayed because the vaccines are not perfect. They’re just….part of what we do have to deal with this, and just bringing up that the only test for the latest boosters were done on mice and that there are too many gaps in the CDC’s data went completely unacknowledged by Garrett, who says he is a “biologist”.

A man who ignores facts in evidence or flaws in data to reach a preconceived conclusion is not a scientist. This is bordering on religion.

If they were really as effective as they were touted to be, why are so many cases (80,000+) still happening, despite testing being down over 90%?

Even with those caveats, it seems that Biden realizes that the one lever he still has to compel people to get their vaccinations is fear of the American healthcare system (massive bankruptcy-inducing medical bills), and the Republicans aren’t going to do shit to fix that. So, use it.

From what I’ve seen in Illinois, it’s the rare person who is still wearing a mask, and that’s amusing in a way. Last year, everyone who wanted to go maskless was turned into a pariah. They were being arrested and heckled by the police. Fist fights were breaking out. Some people even got shot and killed.

Now if you are wearing a mask, you’ll be the 1 in 100 people doing it and everyone will look at you funny even though all of 12 months ago it was a whole different story.

The “maskless jerks” who should “be arrested” according to Stallman are 99 out of 100 people in Illinois, and maybe a touch past that.

Not even the pharmacy staff giving the vaccines are wearing masks at this point.

The government is so done with this.

They’re done trying to get it under control. They’re done spending money on it. They’re done not collecting taxes from people going out and doing their usual levels of reckless overspending.

So now they don’t even want to know. All of the testing mandates are gone, all of the testing centers are shut. If you get COVID, you’re on your own.

Soon you may not even be able to get a free COVID shot because if you don’t have insurance, they may cost more money than you can afford.

(The American economy is unusually bad right now even in light of the last 15 years. With hyperinflation and unemployment, maybe people don’t have $80 for a COVID shot so they just take their chances.)

This will completely unravel what’s left of the effort to shape the spread and keep people out of the hospitals, and cause an even bigger disaster for everyone (including government programs that have to pay the bill sometimes when people go to the hospital).

With the transition of COVID vaccines from “government pays” to “everyone for themselves”, the US turns into what Pfizer has already done globally in a microcosm.

1.7% of their vaccines have gone to non-rich countries. Their goal has been to sell a product to the rich. They can’t seem to get away from selling some to poor people, but their goal is to make it as few doses as possible.

There’s no money in it. It’s just something they do in order to stop the media from reporting that it’s 100% to rich countries, what an outrage. I wonder how Mr. Garrett, “biologist”, feels about that.

Good luck, America.

Consumer products makers shift promotions into high gear to retain customers and change buying patters. Many exploit “Consumer Illiteracy”.

Consumer products makers shift promotions into high gear to retain customers and change buying patters. Many exploit “Consumer Illiteracy”.

Today I got a third “free” bottle of “Natean” toothpaste from iBotta. They keep putting it on iBotta to encourage people to take some, hopefully to permanently change their buying behavior.

The problem (for them) is that toothpaste is basically toothpaste and I’m no idiot.

As soon as the “free after rebate” or “half price” rebates on something end, I switch and stock up on the competitor’s product, if they have rebates.

I told Roy in #Techrights that I’m on to the schemes and I have at least a dozen varieties of just toothpaste (not counting other things) in the top shelf of my kitchen pantry. A mountain of consumer products.

If I had to pay $5.97 plus tax for a 4.7 ounce bottle of toothpaste, I’d just go back to the bargain brand. Because those tend to be a little over $1 and they still give you over 6 ounces.

The company that makes Natean toothpaste (it’s a Walmart-exclusive according to their press release) is GlaxoSmithKline. Which is a major pharmaceutical company. They also already have toothpaste brands, like Sensodyne.

What they’re doing with Natean toothpaste is essentially to hoodwink “health conscious” consumers.

A deeply disturbing trend towards scientific illiteracy has been unfolding in America for decades, and now we’re to the point where a “food mommy” with a blog can literally target random chemicals that she can’t pronounce and, without a relevant degree hanging on her wall of any field of science, much less not having any clinical studies in support, claims that they all cause cancer or something.

When she collected her first “scalp” it was to go after Subway for having Azodicarbonamide in the bread as a trace ingredient. Without any evidence, she “linked” it to a whole host of health conditions, and then shamed them into getting rid of it by having the media refer to it as “the yoga mat chemical”.

Seeing an opening, corporate America immediately flooded store shelves with reformulated products. Which contain completely different chemicals that she hasn’t gone after yet, which are also usually a tongue-twister, and if that’s not bad enough, GSK is now pandering to the anti-fluoride crowd too.

To make things even worse, the box of Natean toothpaste I got says it has “the best that science has to offer”.

I doubt that scientists would agree.

Dentists surely wouldn’t, although some chiropractors might.

See, the majority of Natean (which was interestingly, the name of a villain in the Lucian Alliance in Stargate SG-1), toothpastes say they are fluoride-free.

Fluoridation of toothpaste was a miracle of scientific accomplishment, in the 1950s, when it hit the shelves, as was fluoridation of public drinking water.

Tooth decay was arrested to the extent that dental caries in children (who are most at risk, you see) went down by over 85% over the next decade.

However, an anti-science movement sweeping America like a plague is leaving some towns without fluoridation, which costs only pennies, and is scaring the hell out of parents into buying expensive toothpaste that does a really shitty job at preventing decay of teeth.

Toothpaste literally has one job. To prevent decay of teeth. Manual removal of plaque is really all non-fluoridated toothpaste has left, and this alone is far from enough.

Some of your hillbilly relatives out in the sticks might brush with baking soda. Notice what the consequences of that are? In a pinch, it might get you by for one night if you just didn’t remember toothpaste at the store, but it’s not a habit to get into.

It costs a lot of money to go to the dentist, and the victims of anti-fluoride movements are often poor and uninsured. They end up flocking into hospital emergency rooms across America getting emergency dental extractions and walk around missing teeth.

Horrifying!

I’m not rich, I have no insurance for my teeth, yet the only teeth I’m missing are my wisdom teeth, which I had them remove because they were impacted when I was 16.

I’m almost 39 years old and my teeth still get excellent check-ups (and a fluoride treatment!) every 4-6 months at the local dental college.

My parents were very well to do in the 1990s.

The money was worth more than 2.5 times what it is now, and they were pulling down nearly $250,000 a year then. We were not poor, but dad is infamously cheap.

Case in point, he sent me an email in 2013 asking if I knew how to get kernelex working so that he could make his wife’s Windows 98 computer run Firefox again.

We were not using $6 tubes of toothpaste in his house, and even as an adult, I’ve rarely strayed north of $1.50. My teeth are fine.

But I guarantee you if you run the idea of skipping the fluoride and a “fluoride removal water filter” past any dentist, they’ll say “They’re your teeth, but I cannot advise that.” and it’s because it’s good advice.

Does GSK warrant that their fluoride-free Natean toothpaste will provide the same level of cavity protection? No.

Who pays for fillings and extractions if it doesn’t? Not them!

Fortunately, the “Free After Rebate” offer applied to their version with sodium fluoride in it too. I would absolutely never consider skipping fluoride, or paying MORE for a toothpaste that did less than the bargain brand to protect one of the most important parts (and the uninsured part) of my body.

That would be absurd and certainly not the best product that science has to offer.

Unfortunately, my mother is a nurse who also falls in with the “anti-science” crowd.

Mom never gets her vaccines. In a single year, she managed to fall out of the vaccine-preventable respiratory illness tree and hit every single one (pneumonia, flu, and COVID) on the way down. She fought with me to the point where I thought we weren’t going to speak again for 10 years before she marched down to the doctor and got Paxlovid and then said “I feel much better now. Thank you!”.

On top of making fun of me for getting my vaccines and skipping over all of that, mom also makes fun of me for taking my Crestor to keep my cholesterol down (very small dose). She actually says things like, “Cholesterol levels don’t matter.”.

I told her, “And you can pour all of the hamburger and bacon grease you want down the drain until you can’t. What’s your point?”.

She was telling me all about Crestor and how it was going to screw up my brain, and then she left her Instant Pot on the stove and turned the stove on and destroyed her Instant Pot with the stove.

There are people who get the facts and there are people, including nurses, who tune into some nut on Facebook that says this and that.

They say that nurses make the worst patients. Why? Just an observation, but I’ve seen an awful lot of them who are skeptical of medicine get into the medical field because the money is good.

Makes you wonder about all those “Dial-a-Nurse” lines the health insurance companies have, doesn’t it?

Lake County, Illinois Health Department leaving voicemails with me and my spouse over Monkeypox “Grindr vaccine”.

Lake County, Illinois Health Department leaving voicemails with me and my spouse over Monkeypox “Grindr vaccine”.

I’ve posted about how aggravated I am with the Lake County Illinois Health Department.

You can get a recap if you like:

Lake County, IL Health Department doctors should probably be avoided, in my experience.

This was on top of their two years of incessant COVID lockdown terrorism that they used to wave their dick around with and force small businesses into bankruptcy court, and then used to surveil library patrons, and other abuses, before giving up completely. (Nobody even wears a mask on the bus anymore.).

Now they’re leaving voicemails on our phones urging us to get a Monkeypox vaccine.

I blogged about the Monkeypox vaccine too. (Who gets Monkeypox, why I won’t get the vaccine.)

Thoughts on Monkeypox as “experts” recommend vaccination to gay men first. Plus: Why Monkeypox is in the media in the first place.

The TL;DR is that the Monkeypox vaccine is basically a vaccine for gay men who get on f–k apps and go to bathhouses. It’s practically unheard of for anyone else to get Monkeypox unless they come into close contact with one of these people and happen to pick it up somehow that way, which means that, as I predicted, the “satellite” cases around these nasty people would be healthcare workers, nursing home residents, and school children.

Illinois and other states are already having cases in all of those places.

Illinois just announced a possible outbreak in a daycare center today.

Web / Gemini (NewsWaffle) / “WebWaffle”

But these satellite cases, so far, involve between 1% and 2% of the population, according to the New York Times, and NPR, which are famously leftist rags and would be doing damage control on this were it even possible.

“Right now, about 98% of monkeypox cases are in queer and gay folks and our sexual networks. Of course, that includes trans and non-binary folks,” says Joseph Osmundson, a biologist at New York University who identifies as queer and is helping to lead the effort to stop the outbreak.

“During this outbreak, there will probably be at least one random case where somebody gets it on a bus. But, you know, that’s going to be profoundly rare, probably less likely than being hit by that bus,” she says. “If monkeypox were easily transmitted on the subway, on buses, we would be seeing it among a very different population than almost purely among the population where transmission is occurring mostly during close, intimate contact.”

The virus just doesn’t spread well through these nonsexual routes, data show. For example, in this current outbreak, only about 0.2% of people infected have caught the virus from a contaminated surface, the World Health Organization reported this week.

[…]

Even if you’re living with a person infected with monkeypox, your risk of catching the disease is surprisingly low, says biologist Joseph Osmundson. Preliminary data, with a small number of cases, found that the chance of spreading monkeypox to a household member, not through sex, is only about 0.6%.

The extent that most people have to worry about MonkeyPox is basically zilch. In fact, I consider it a “Grindr vaccine”.

The problem is that doctors and staff at the Lake County, Illinois Health Department will just keep pushing and pushing and acting as-if the patient not needing it, saying no, and being a big boy who can make his own decisions is irrelevant.

Every time I ask them to please stop whacking up my spouse with vaccines which basically only apply if you’re worried about STDs, they just do it anyway and hand him a patient consent pamphlet that has someone to complain to after they’ve already gone ahead and done it.

I’m not vaccinated against HPV and Monkeypox, and it’s because the risks outweigh the benefits in my particular case.

The HPV vaccine isn’t free, has unpleasant side effects, and I’m going on 40.

Why would I pay $600 to get a vaccine series that the CDC says probably won’t do much good if you’re over 26?

Their exact advice is if you’re above 26 and below 45, “discuss your risk with your doctor”, but the reason they recommend it for people 12-26 in the first place is because those are typically “high risk” years for STDs, especially among college students.

In most people, HPV does not cause cancer. The body clears the virus and the person goes on never knowing they had it. Yes, there is some risk, but it’s not even as big as the seasonal flu.

The Gates Foundation did unethical medical research regarding HPV vaccines, in poor countries, on illiterate people (as it does with most medical studies), and the HPV vaccine trials harmed the girls involved.

The Gates Foundation chose India, Peru, Uganda, and Vietnam for the HPV studies, and the Indian government pulled the plug after it came to light that the vaccines seemingly led to the deaths of 7 girls out of the 24,777 in the country participating in the vaccine trial.

Gates has also funded other unethical research, such as circumcising 12 million African men, telling them it would confer “total immunity from HIV/AIDS” if they agreed, and then leaving them to get HIV anyway after their genitals were mutilated.

There were other unethical experiments. Such as whacking up gay prostitutes in Thailand during the AIDSVAX trial. Then when the trial showed minimal efficacy, they simply left and did not follow up to make sure the people who took it were okay.

It’s really easy for the Gates Foundation to do unethical medical research in impoverished countries where few can even read the consent forms. Nobody will sue them.

While there is some risk of cancer from HPV, we must then balance that out with there being some risk from the vaccine as well, and then decide which one is the greater risk. Public health authorities generally recommend a one-size-fits-all vaccine policy.

In the 1980s, Congress created a program that shields vaccine companies completely from any liability from their product. If you get injured or killed, your surviving family members can file a claim with the government, and it’s a real process, and the government doesn’t pay out a large amount. No amount is ever going to compensate you for losing a family member, but the government program will barely cover putting them in the ground.

With Monkeypox vaccine, we have no idea what the risks are because it hasn’t been tested. It’s another one of those, to paraphrase House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, “pass it to find out what’s in it” vaccines.

Not only that, but between 95-99% of the risk is falling on a subset….let me repeat myself….a SUBSET of gay men who just f–k anything with a pulse, sometimes 10-20 men in the same night, and go on sex vacation across 7 countries ending in a German sex swing.

(In my article about the Monkeypox vaccine, I posted real examples of who is getting it, quoting the New York Times.)

The problem for us is if we get the Monkeypox vaccine, it’s all risk with very little chance of ever encountering the virus.

However, because the Lake County Health Department is operated by Democrats and politicians, they go down the list quietly pinging all of their gay patients who go in there, lumping them in with sex vacationers, Steamworks customers, and Grindr whores.

That’s offensive. That’s homophobic. It needs to stop.

By blaming the entire outbreak on “LGBT” people, or gay men, or whatever they call us, in total, they imply that people like me and my spouse are on Grindr snorting poppers and bending over for anything that gets on there and messages you. And, like, we’re not. We want no association with that.

The media doesn’t ever mention that you’re only going to get Monkeypox if you f–k around until you come across someone who has it, and that’s true for any STD.

The WHO and CDC figure if you have sex with 100 people at random, 1 of them will have Gonorrhea, and that’s like one thing.

3 of them will have HIV. (In the United States. If you live in a city.)

I mean, you add up all STDs, you’re looking at like 10-15 infected partners per 100 people. It’s gross. We live in a dysfunctional and dangerous world.

Why are the existing STDs so prevalent? It’s mainly because the same people who are spreading them don’t wear a condom because it “doesn’t feel good”.

So like, if they don’t want Monkeypox, they can just stop what they’re doing, delete Grindr, stay out of the clubs, and let it finish burning through everyone who doesn’t stop.

Because Joe Biden has no plan to vaccinate even 2% of you who are at extreme risk. The Smallpox vaccine would work and the National Stockpile has plenty of it. It’s even been tested! But where would the corporate profits come from?

I was talking to Roy Schestowitz on Techrights IRC and he says:

“[Clinical] trials are not needed anymore. WTO will make sure public interest groups are repressed. [The vaccine companies] misuse emergencies to not properly test their products and mass distribute before facts are known. With COVID-19, the existing vaccines failed to contain the spread. Even heads of state get it repeatedly. Very disappointing handling.”

Roy got banned from Twitter, along with lots of other people, for saying things like this. Twitter took a lot of money from the Gates Foundation under the agreement that it would cancel and censor anyone who implied that there was anything untoward going on in his Foundation or its investments (which have doubled his money since he “gave it all away”).

(I had asked him to stop wasting his time trying to post information to Twitter. Lots of censorship. Barely any real engagement.)

Mostly I’m pissed at the Lake County, Illinois Health Department for trying to push and shove untested experimental products on my spouse and telling him to shut up and let them inject him with it.

Then if he falls over dead because of it (when he was at no risk of contracting Monkeypox), the only remedy I’ll have as his surviving spouse is to file a claim against the government and hope they pay me enough to cover the funeral. This is some serious shit.

The drug companies have made “progress”.

Instead of testing out experimental vaccines on some impoverished third world country, they test them out on Americans. Why not?

Vaccines make a great “product”. Where else are you going to sell the public on an emergency, get a monopoly, not have to test it for side effects or even prove that it works, and then dump all of the results for your negligence on some government “injury compensation program”?

Even better. They’ve found gay men to test them on. Most of the American public don’t give a shit what happens to us one way or the other, and if we start falling over dead because of an experimental untested Monkeypox vaccine, then there won’t be any heads to roll.

It’s like the Tuskegee Syphilis Experiments all over again.

That’s not to say I’m an anti-vaxxer. I am not an anti-vaxxer.

In general, most vaccines have a small risk that is worth taking. They were properly tested because they required that back then. They were also required to show that in addition to being reasonably safe, that they worked against the disease they targeted.

Whether Monkeypox vaccine even works or not is irrelevant because there’s no way to “get it into arms” faster than the disease is spreading.

Many gay men could just stop and let everyone else get it.

Most people aren’t going to stop doing what they’re doing, so in a year or two, it’ll mostly burn out because of exponential spread and immunity in the survivors (most people do survive….it’s just a really bad month).

Nobody will stop them,. What you can do is just get out of the way and let the bomb finish going off on someone else. Few people will get this other than some hedonists on a gay f–k app.

The flip side to hedonism is that people who spend too much time devoted to pleasure end up getting more pain than it was worth.

People die of drug overdoses, get terrible diseases, and become obese.

But the people on the gay hookup scene have actually managed to make people afraid of being labeled “homophobic” for criticizing them.

So nobody will touch it.

Hey, I’m gay.

If the only people anyone will listen to about a gay health issue without accusations of homophobia is gay people, then I’m going to use that.
